Saddleback Church in California is hosting a "Purpose Driven Journey" - training for pastors and church-leaders - in Copenhagen, Denmark

Kick-Off in Copenhagen January 25. - 26. 2010.

"Purpose Driven Journey" is the name of a three-year training for pastors and church-leaders. It is already running on in France, Rwanda and India, but now it is also coming to Scandinavia."Purpose Driven Journey" will last for three years and a total of six conferences. The conferences will each last a couple of days and will be held twice a year. Saddleback Church is sending some of its best teachers to train the participants and be in process with the Scandinavian pastors and church-leaders.

The first conference in Copenhagen will be held January 25. - 26. 2010. The conferences will consist of teaching and inspiring examples of how to be a purpose driven church from Denmark, Norway, Holland and USA. There will also be a lot of practical work and process.

More than just a conference

In between the conferences there will be a lot of dialogue and corporation between participating pastors and the teachers. For this purpose Saddleback Church has build a new web-based forum for pastors and church-leaders. The participants will also be giving practical tools to use between the conferences so the process can continue in their home churches.

"It is our wish to demonstrate an easy useable step-by-step model and a practical plan that the pastors can follow in the work with creating purpose driven churches. "Purpose Driven" is much more than some 40-Days Campaigns.

The idea with "Purpose Driven Journey" is to create vision and process and give some practical tools. If we work on becoming more effective and open our hearts for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then we can become more effective in reaching our cities with the Gospel and building healthy churches", says Abraham Meulenberg, Pastor in Saddleback Church and Coordinator of "Purpose Driven Initiatives" in Europe.

"Our goal with this three-year journey is to present some biblical principles and ways to work as a church with the purpose of chancing or establishing healthy, growing and reproducing churches. And at the same time live out the purposes God has given us: worship, discipleship, ministry and mission", says Erik Rugholm, Leader of Purpose Driven Denmark.

Speakers will include pastors from various denominations from USA, Denmark, Norway and Holland.
